I admit that, at first, I was hesitant to integrate AI into my business, fearing that it would feel like cheating. But over time, I realized that using AI is more about resourcefulness than dishonesty.
AI, like ChatGPT, functions by generating outputs based on the inputs you provide. So, when you feed it specific, detailed information about your real estate business, AI can give you useful suggestions or content tailored to your needs. The output is only as good as the input, meaning that AI isn’t taking over—it’s just helping you move faster.
When incorporating AI into your marketing strategy, it’s essential to view it as an intern or assistant rather than a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). While AI can help you brainstorm ideas, create content, and offer suggestions, the strategic decisions are still yours to make.

By providing these specific goals, you’re setting the groundwork for AI to offer actionable steps to help you achieve them. You can ask it for advice on the best first step to take, creating a clear roadmap to help you stay on track.
One of the most powerful ways real estate agents can benefit from AI is by using it to create and repurpose content across various platforms. I use a process called “content watering,” where a long-form piece of content, like a podcast or blog post, is repurposed across different social media platforms and email newsletters.
For example, once you create a blog post about a relevant real estate topic—such as tips for first-time homebuyers—you can input that blog post into AI tools like ChatGPT. Ask the tool to help you generate related content, like Instagram captions, email newsletters, or even a series of blog posts. By repurposing content, you maximize its lifecycle and exposure, which is much more efficient than creating unique content for each platform from scratch.
In addition to social media, email marketing is another key area where AI can make a difference. This allows for more efficient content distribution, ensuring that your messaging reaches a wider audience.
While paid advertising can seem complex, AI can help you create high-converting ad copy that targets your ideal clients. For example, ChatGPT can assist in writing Facebook ad copy targeting first-time homebuyers in a specific location. Though paid ads still require trial and error, AI can give you a strong foundation for writing compelling ads that attract potential clients and generate leads.
For real-time data on ads, Perplexity, another AI tool that pulls the latest information from the internet, which can be especially helpful when you want to stay on top of trends and best practices in digital advertising.
AI is also an excellent resource for improving your SEO and social media visibility. If you want to boost your online presence, you can ask AI tools like ChatGPT to recommend SEO keywords or social media hashtags tailored to your business. Simply input your website URL into ChatGPT, and it will analyze your site to suggest relevant keywords and hashtags that you can incorporate into your content strategy.
Beyond marketing, AI tools can also enhance the design and branding aspect of your real estate business. For example, Canva’s AI features allow you to create brand assets like logos, business cards, and social media posts. Canva also allows you to embed your brand voice into your account settings, ensuring that all designs reflect your business’s messaging.
Furthermore, AI in Canva can help with photo editing, such as removing backgrounds from images, or even creating realistic images of homes that you don’t have in your photography library. This can be incredibly useful for generating visually appealing content for your Instagram or social media pages without needing professional photoshoots.
AI is a game-changer for real estate professionals, helping them save time, improve marketing strategies, and engage more effectively with their target audiences. While AI is a powerful tool, it’s important to remember that the quality of your input determines the quality of your output. By taking the time to provide detailed information about your brand, goals, and target audience, you can harness AI to create a more efficient and impactful marketing plan.
