Branding sessions have such a special place in my heart…especially the really personal branding sessions where I get to know the business owner and her business so well that I feel like I truly bring their brand to life. Kelsey was one of those sweet business owners that trusted me with the imagery for her newly re-branded business!

Let’s first talk a little about Kelsey. She is the owner of Kelsey Cuervo Photography. She is a wife, momma, dog lover, and collector of memories and passport stamps. With her calm demeanor, she makes everyone around her comfortable and confident in front of the camera. And yes, I know this from experience because part of her branding session was behind-the-scenes shots of her in an actual session! How cool.

After growing up partially overseas, her love for exploring new places was ignited at a young age. Throughout her re-brand, she really focused on the type of client she wants to serve. Those that are free at heart, looking for some adventure and travel, and hold those closest to them ever so dearly, just like she does.

Because of this, we made sure to incorporate all of that into her branding session. From her family, to her passport, to her trinkets that she has collected throughout her travels, we showcased each of those things that she hopes her ideal client will value as well.

As a part of the planning process, I always ask my branding clients: What is one way that your client experience is differentiated from all the rest in your industry? Kelsey’s answer was quick and simple. She carries a Polaroid camera with her and takes a quick shot of the couple that they can take home with them that day as a memento of their time together. This was so sweet and special that I knew we had to document it! So we made sure to add her Polaroid camera to her shot list…she is even so sweet and thoughtful that I got my very own Polaroid even though I was taking pictures of her!

Her session took place at her home, her mother’s home, and a local park where she performed her session. I loved the adventure that we had and the results that came from it!
