let's whip that brand into shape
Thanks so much for your continued support. My business and brand has seen many chapters, and while this was one of them, please consider joining me in the current chapter. I am now a brand developer/photographer and fractional CMO for fellow small business owners. If you’d like to follow along, you can sign up for my email list here!
You know all those gorgeous images of invitations and shoes and flowers and rings you see all over Pinterest and Instagram? Those are called “bridal details.”
As a photographer, the first portion of my time on your wedding day is spent photographing your bridal details. Bridal details include your rings (all three!), veil, dress, bouquet, invitation suite, shoes, any heirlooms or special items, perfume, and borrowed and blue items! My best piece of advice is to get all of these items together in one place before your actual wedding day. On the day of, designate your Maid of Honor as the person in charge of all those details. That way, when I arrive, I know exactly where everything is and I can dive right in and not waste any time!
The reason that I included bridal details in the Timeline Series is because they take a longer amount of time than you would think to produce quality images. If bridal details are a priority for you, you should absolutely allow for at least an hour for your details to be photographed. At a very minimum, I would suggest thirty minutes for details if they are not a priority for you and you’d prefer more getting ready images.
It’s my opinion that beautifully curated details take a wedding gallery from beautiful to breathtaking. In the instance that you are incorporating many family heirlooms or small, special touches into your day, they absolutely deserve to be documented so that they can eventually be made into an heirloom album. These pieces tell a part of your story that you will want to pass down to your children and grandchildren one day!
Tell me some of your bridal details and heirlooms that you plan on having photographed on your wedding day below! I love a good heirloom story!
