Let’s talk flowers. Now, I am no florist, but I do know what looks great in photographs!

Your bridal bouquet brings together your entire bridal look. It is typically the most heavily photographed “arrangement” of the day and can really elevate your overall gallery!

A few things to note about bridal bouquets:

1. Be aware of what is in bloom during the season you are getting married! You don’t want to have envisioned peonies for your fall wedding…they will either be unavailable or extremely expensive!
2. Take the weight of the bouquet into consideration. While yes, large, ornate bouquets are beautiful, they can get pretty heavy. You won’t be carrying your bouquet all day, but it will be with you for a good portion of the day (bridal portraits, bridal party portraits, bride & groom portraits, and ceremony). So keep that in mind!
3. The color palette of your wedding should be considered when choosing blooms for your bouquet. You don’t want them to be too matchy, but instead complimenting of the colors throughout the rest of the day. Taking a color swatch of your bridesmaids’ dress color could be helpful when meeting with your florist!
