Here at Ali Rae Haney Photography, we see each and every one of our clients as family. No, really, at the end of the year, I even send all of my clients Christmas cards! But the family I’m going to introduce you to in this blog post are the members that actually have the last name “Haney.”

We are just regular people just living a sweet little life as a family of four. Caleb and I are so very thankful to have our two beautiful children after thinking for a while that we may never be parents. While that’s a story for another time, if you ever want to read our journey with infertility, you can read that blog post here.

Like I say in that blog post, our story had a sad beginning, but happy ending. I want to amend that by saying I hope it’s not the end and we are in the middle of growing our family, but the miracle of life is not lost on us!

So without further ado, let’s meet the ARHP crew!

I’m Ali. The founder, the photographer, the dreamer, the wife, the momma, the tradition upholder, and the Type A person in the family. Weddings and branding sessions are my specialties, but somehow my kids are probably who I photograph most frequently…lucky them! I just think it’s funny how God smiled down on us and gave Huxley, the most stoic young woman around. It’s not uncommon for me to have a glass of red wine with dinner, and I also love watching Shark Tank while dreaming of new inventions I can partner with Mark Cuban on.

This is Caleb. He’s the second shooter, the husband, the dad, the Marine, the laid-back one, and the supporter of all my wild ideas. He is a world traveler! He’s been to Japan, Djibouti, England, and Spain to name a few. Whenever I say I spontaneously want to do something, he is my “Yes Man,” which started on our very first date in high school! He took me to the Yes Man movie and it’s stuck ever since. Oh, and he was also the first to ever call me Ali Rae, so I guess I owe the name of my business to him too!

Next up, is our Huxley! She is our firecracker…absolutely going to grow up to be smarter than both me and her father. She is two years young and born with just a such a sassy, yet sweet soul. She’s [mostly] quiet and could probably raise herself. Some of her favorite shows are Spirit and Paw Patrol, so naturally we promised her we would get her a horse when we move to the country. We already have two dogs though, so no more of those for now! She is the most low maintenance child…until she’s not. My mom always tells me it is payback for how much of a know-it-all/slightly particular child I was.

And finally, we have our Jackson. Or “Jacky” as Huxley likes to call him. He’s four months old and, man, does he keep us on our toes. Caleb and I have had many conversations about how Huxley did not properly prepare us to be parents. With him, it’s like we are discovering what it is to be a parent that’s “on” all the time. Sleep isn’t his favorite unless he’s being held. The boy loves to eat…a lot. And he is truly a momma’s boy. As everyone told us (yet we still didn’t believe), he is vastly different than Huxley. And we couldn’t love them more for it.

And while they don’t get the extra special treatment they used to get before Hux and Jacks came along…they still live a pretty a sweet life. Meet Koda & Kenai. Koda is a white German Shepherd and Kenai is a Shepherd/lab mix we found on a random website from a random farm. These two, much like our human children, are exact opposites. Koda is wild; Kenai is so chill. And for those of you who are wondering–yes, we got the names from Disney’s Brother Bear and it’s a perfect fit for them!
