Meet Kayla & Bradan! My first Kentucky wedding couple! I was so excited when Kayla contacted me because she was referred by a prior client-turned-friend, Hannah. Those types of referrals are always exciting because we have a level of trust prior to even having them in front of my camera. That showed in their engagement session because they were pros at being in front of the camera (Angus, their pup, included!).

Kayla and Bradan met through Hannah, my prior client! In fact, Taylor, Hannah’s husband, and Bradan are partners on the Lexington Police Department. It helps that Kayla and Hannah are best friends too. Lots of double dates. 🙂

Kayla asked if Bradan could wear his uniform for part of their session. Y’all know I am a fan of a man in uniform (I mean, I did marry a Marine!), so I was super happy to have his law enforcement background represented throughout our session. She was so prepared–she even had a sign that read “He’s my something blue,” which I thought was adorable!

Their pup, Angus, accompanied us throughout our stroll through Chenault Vineyards, which is where they will be getting married in just under a year! It’s rare I get to shoot at a wedding venue prior to the wedding date, so that was an extra treat to get a tour of where we will be next September. The fall foliage was showing off in the background of “The Pointe” where they will be having their ceremony next fall.
