Let’s back up for a second and do a quick review on Q1 goals.
Here they are for those joining in on this adventure in actually documenting my goals to stay accountable:
Book 5 branding clients. I booked three, which is better than none, but not quite where I wanted to be!
Book 2 weddings. I did not book any weddings this quarter, which I am super disappointed about!
Launch TPF! After restructuring TPF I didn’t know what to expect, but I was able to make it a successful launch!
Send quarterly ARHP newsletter. This is the goal that I feel most confident in saying–I achieved it!
Grow TPF email list by 125 subscribers. Didn’t make this one. I wanted to investigate Facebook ads to promote one of the freebies I have created for TPF, but didn’t.
Guess what? I achieved two-ish of those goals in full. So if Q1 was a struggle for you, you are certainly not alone. But I have high hopes for Q2, so here goes!
Book 7 branding clients. Originally, my goal was to book five branding clients per quarter, for a total of 20 branding clients this year. My goal is still to book 20 branding clients for the whole year, so I am rolling over the vacant spots from Q1 to Q2. While this is not officially part of my goal, I am thinking about the idea of a referral program for my existing branding clients to increase bookings.
Begin Pinterest for TPF. When I used Pinterest for wedding photography, I didn’t see a ton of return. Instead, I am hoping that the evergreen content from TPF will prove to drive a consistent flow of traffic to both the free and paid resources that TPF has to offer. I am contemplating hiring a VA to manage the Pinterest side of social media because I find that my strength is in the actual content creation, but not necessarily the dissemination of the content.
Obtain two business certifications. As always, there is a project cooking in the background over here! In order to put myself and my business in a good position for that project, I am aiming to obtain two business certifications: WBENC (woman-owned business) and Military Spouse Chamber of Commerce Certification. These two certifications will open up opportunities for networking and grants!
Grow the TPF email list by 250 subscribers. While I am still relatively new at the email list thing, I am enjoying the organic growth. Additionally, I am wondering if I could pour some fuel on the email marketing fire by promoting some Facebook ads. Navigating Facebook ads is a “sub-goal” for Q2.
You’ll notice that I have four quarterly rocks or goals for this quarter, instead of my normal 5-7. There are two reasons for this:
There is a two-week timeframe where I will be in Virginia. While I will still be consistently shooting, I will not be having my normal office hours. I want to account for that time by giving myself a little grace to get back to my shooting roots.
There are a couple of items that are going to require some extra time to learn (Pinterest & Facebook ads). I am allowing myself some extra “learn-a-new-skill” time throughout the quarter because I know that learning a new skill can sometimes take longer than originally anticipated.
Tell me your Q2 goals and how I can support you in those below!
