let's whip that brand into shape
Thanks so much for your continued support. My business and brand has seen many chapters, and while this was one of them, please consider joining me in the current chapter. I am now a brand developer/photographer and fractional CMO for fellow small business owners. If you’d like to follow along, you can sign up for my email list here!
Not sure if you guys heard me the first thousand times, but CHARLESTON WAS AN AMAZING TRIP! The location and small vignettes all around downtown are a photographer’s dream, especially at sunset! I envy the photographers that get to photograph there all the time because I feel like each time I visit, I see a cute new home or setting that would be perfect for pictures.
Lissie, our bride, was actually a tour guide for Charleston tours, so she was able to tell us the history of the area while we were conducting our session. She gave us food recommendations based off of where we were staying. She was seriously amazing! Did you know that in order to be a tour guide there, you would have to know what type of architecture was at each address?! Like if the exam asked you, “What type of architecture is the home at 23 East Bay Street?” you would have to know without seeing an image of the property!! That baffles my mind, but it was really interesting to hear more about the city that we wouldn’t have otherwise known.
First, we explored Rainbow Row and danced around swishing her dress all through the street. After that, we made our way down to the waterfront park by the Pineapple Fountain, a Charleston icon! It was a beautiful evening out, so there were quite a few people there, but for some reason, no one was on the one side of the fountain and we were able to photograph making it seem like we had the area all to ourselves. After that, we made our way down to the Battery, another waterfront area, but not before stopping at a few cross streets and other adorable homes. Lastly, we ended up on a few more side streets where we found a white home with the CUTEST flower boxes out front. At this point the sun had basically set, but we found this one very unique fence with ivy growing up all over it and a streetlight perfectly angled to look like we had set up off-camera flash!
We were able to explore, learn, and be creative during this session, and honestly…I can’t think of a better way to spend a photography-centered evening!
Let's talk business.
