let's whip that brand into shape
Thanks so much for your continued support. My business and brand has seen many chapters, and while this was one of them, please consider joining me in the current chapter. I am now a brand developer/photographer and fractional CMO for fellow small business owners. If you’d like to follow along, you can sign up for my email list here!
Before Claire’s baptism (the last blog post) I had never photographed a baptism before. Then I ended up photographing two of them in back to back weekends. While all baptisms are special, Colton John’s baptism was extremely special to us because he is our nephew!
We ventured to New Jersey to celebrate with both sides of Colton’s family. Colton was baptized by the same priest that married his parents, which made the service so special. It was the first time I attended a Catholic baptism, so it was nice to experience the service as a congregation and then the baptism with just our families.
Sometimes when I click my shutter, I just know that the moment is going to be a special one. One of Colton’s great grandmothers was able to attend the baptism, and I captured her giving Colton a kiss on the forehead and blessing him. Oh my…it melts my heart!!
Colton’s godfather, uncle Johnny, gifted him his baptism shoes that matched his sweet baptism outfit that made him look like a little paper boy, complete with the hat! It didn’t dawn on me until later on, but it was such a blessing to have Johnny, Jeremy (Colton’s father), and Caleb there because they are all military members and their schedules are never predictable. Colton’s godfather, his aunt Saige, is also in the military and currently at the U.S. Naval Academy. She was on a summer duty assignment in Spain and wasn’t able to attend, but for a good reason! Colton and Huxley are so very blessed to be surrounded by honorable men and women to serve as their role models.
After his baptism, we enjoyed a beautiful luncheon right on the water in Atlantic City with a bunch of aunts and uncles and all of Colton’s grandparents. It was certainly a celebratory day for everyone involved!
Let's talk business.
