BRANDING

let's whip that brand into shape
Thanks so much for your continued support. My business and brand has seen many chapters, and while this was one of them, please consider joining me in the current chapter. I am now a brand developer/photographer and fractional CMO for fellow small business owners. If you’d like to follow along, you can sign up for my email list here!
Kaelyn and I first spoke just over a month before her wedding day, May 15th. The original venue where she and Tyler were supposed to be married cancelled on her just six weeks before her wedding date due to the number of guests interfering with the venue’s COVID restrictions. This obviously would have thrown most people off, but Kaelyn didn’t skip a beat and found a new venue within days. After finding the new venue, her original photographer was no longer available for her date, leaving her with yet another major vendor role open.
When she contacted me, I was so thankful I had her and Tyler’s wedding date available and was able to help them out. Boy, she deserved the best day ever after going through some crazy circumstances leading up to the date.
Once we showed up on her wedding day though…you would have never known about the craziness leading up to it! Both Kaelyn and Tyler were relaxed and just happy to be getting married, even if it didn’t look the way they thought it would originally. Kaelyn was sipping champagne getting her hair done when I got to the bridal suite. She and Tyler exchanged gifts before the ceremony. His gift to her was one of the most unique I have ever seen! It was a “box” that had five layers, so it seemed like she kept opening box after box. But each box unfolded to have pictures of them on the inside. Once she got to the final box, there was a single diamond drop necklace in there. It was perfect because she was just discussing about how she hadn’t found the right necklace to wear, so she was planning on not wearing one at all!
With her diamond around her neck and his new watch around his wrist, they both headed to their first look. I cannot tell you how much I love when couples decide to do a first look. Honestly…every couple’s reaction is different! Tyler and Kaelyn were basically in awe of one another at first…it took a second for it to sink in that it actually was their wedding day they had waited so long for! But then Tyler began to tear up a bit…and that is the moment we always wait for. They exchanged their vows in the privacy of the moment before heading to the ceremony to make their commitment to one another public.
One of my favorite parts of Kaelyn and Tyler’s wedding day was that everyone seemed so close. They had been together five years prior to their wedding, but it seemed like their group of friends had known one another for a lifetime. In fact, Tyler and his best man have basically known one another for their whole lives–at least since they were seven!
After their first dance to Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton, we slipped outside for some sunset portraits. It was there that we decided it was just meant to be that we were supposed to be their photographers on their wedding day. Between joking with the groomsmen and recruiting bridesmaids to be my assistants while I was shooting details and learning more about their families…by the end of the day it felt like we were family!
Here’s to Mr. and Mrs. Kisner! We wish you many years of wedded bliss!
Let's talk business.
